Terms & Conditions

Last updated 1 September 2026 · Applies to CHIMERA v0.1.0 and this website.

01Who you are agreeing with

CHIMERA is created, owned and maintained by Hammad Muhammad, an individual based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using CHIMERA, or by using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

02Licence and ownership

CHIMERA, including its source code, design, name, logo and documentation, is the intellectual property of Hammad Muhammad. All rights are reserved.

Current licence statusThere is no LICENSE file in the repository yet. The intended licence is BUSL 1.1 (Business Source License) — source-available, with commercial restrictions that lapse on a fixed date — and the grant wording is being finalised.

Until that file lands, the ordinary legal default applies: all rights reserved. You may read the source, build it and run it for your own use. Anything beyond that — redistribution, resale, hosting it as a service, or incorporating it into a product — requires written permission. Ask; the answer is often yes.

03Early access

CHIMERA is at version 0.1.0 and is explicitly early access. That means:

Back up your workspace before upgrading. Do not depend on CHIMERA for anything you cannot afford to have break.

04What you may do

05What you may not do

06You are responsible for what your agents do

Read this one properly.CHIMERA runs autonomous software agents on your machine, with the tools and permissions you grant them. Agents can read files, run shell commands, browse the web, drive a real browser and act inside applications you connect.

Every action an agent takes is your action. You are solely responsible for what you build, what you grant it, what it does, and any consequence of that — including data loss, unintended emails, deleted records, financial cost or breach of a third party's terms.

The Governor, approval gates, allowlists and spend caps exist to help you limit that risk, and they are enforced structurally rather than by prompt wording. They are not a guarantee. Large language models are non-deterministic and can behave unexpectedly. Grant the narrowest set of tools that will do the job, use approval gates before anything irreversible, and test on data you can afford to lose.

07Your keys and your costs

CHIMERA is free during early access and contains no models of its own. You bring your own API keys.

08Third-party services

CHIMERA integrates with services we do not control — including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, OmniRoute, Ollama, LM Studio, Composio and GitHub. Your use of each is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

Figures published by third parties and quoted on this site — including OmniRoute's 351 providers, 1,200+ models, 90+ free tiers and approximately 1.51 billion free tokens per month, and Composio's 1,000+ integrations, 100,000 free tool calls per month, SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications — are their published claims, not our measurements, and are reproduced for information only. We do not warrant them and they may change at any time.

09No warranty

CHIMERA is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that CHIMERA will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will produce correct, complete or useful output. Model outputs may be wrong, fabricated or harmful. The verify step exists precisely because models fabricate confidently — it reduces that risk, it does not remove it.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from or connected with your use of CHIMERA or this website — whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for CHIMERA in the twelve months before the claim, which is currently nil, and (b) £100.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hammad Muhammad against any claim, liability, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of CHIMERA, from actions taken by agents you configured, from your breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or from your infringement of any third party's rights.

12Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use CHIMERA. You may stop at any time by uninstalling it — instructions are in the install section. We may end your permission to use CHIMERA if you materially breach these terms. Sections 2, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 14 survive termination.

13Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the project matures, particularly when the licence is settled. The date at the top will change, and previous versions remain in the repository's git history. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If a change is material and you disagree, uninstall.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home country's law.
